Ford began production of the Fiesta model in 1976. Since 1986, the car has been equipped with an engine with a working volume of 1400 cm³. Cars manufactured in series have a transmission with a five-speed gearbox. At the customer's request, the car can be equipped with an automatic gearbox. A modification of the Ford Fiesta with a diesel engine with a working volume of 1800 cm³ is also manufactured.
The identification plate is located on the front cross member of the body (Fig. 1.1). It contains all the digital designations necessary for ordering spare parts. The chassis number is located on the floor of the body next to the front passenger seat.
The engine and gearbox are designated by production series numbers.
