Speed control cable (Focus 1)

Removal

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.



2. Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle body.



3. Disconnect the speed control cable from the bracket.



4. Release the speed control cable from the clamp.



5. Disconnect the electrical connector of the speed control actuator.





6. Disconnect the speed control actuator.



7. Remove the speed control actuator bracket (four bolts).



8. Remove the speed control cable cover from the speed control actuator.

• 1. Press the clamp and hold it in this position.
• 2. Turn the cap counterclockwise.

9. Remove the speed control cable from the speed control actuator pulley.

• 1. Release the cable retaining spring.
• 2. Push the end of the cable out of the pulley groove.

Installation

1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
