Measuring oil pressure (Focus 1)

            0

Oil pressure depends on various factors (engine crankshaft speed, oil temperature, oil viscosity, degree of contamination of the oil filter, etc.).

NOTE: Measure the oil pressure at the specified engine speed. Measure the oil pressure at an oil temperature of 80°C.

Checking oil pressure (engine 1.4/1.6 Zetec - SE)

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector and remove the oil pressure switch.

3. Connect the pressure gauge with the appropriate pressure gauge mounting adapter and position it so that the reading can be read from above.

4. Lower the vehicle.

5. Check the oil pressure.

6. Raise and secure the vehicle.

7. Disconnect the oil pressure gauge and adapter.

8. Apply oil pressure switch sealant (WSK-M2G349-A7) to the oil pressure switch.

9. Install the oil pressure switch and connect the oil pressure switch plug connector.

10. Lower the vehicle.

Checking oil pressure (engine 1.8/2.0 Zetec - E)
