Removal
All cars
1. Remove the antenna base. For more information, refer to the Antenna Base chapter in this section.
2. Remove both A-pillar trim panels. Refer to Section 501-05 for additional information.
3. Remove the sun visors.

4. Remove the sun visor mounting clips.

5. Remove the overhead console. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.
Cars manufactured up to 03.2000.
6. Remove the passenger handrails.
- 1. Open the screw covers.
- 2. Remove the screws.

Cars manufactured since 03.2000.
7. Open the covers on the passenger handrails.

8. Using a suitable 6mm flat-head screwdriver, remove the passenger handrails.
- Rotate the screwdriver 90 degrees to release the mounting clips.

All cars
9. Carefully pry the front edge of the roof trim to access the antenna cable.
10. Release the antenna wire from the clamps (for clarity, the ceiling trim is shown removed).

11. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to Section 415-01.
12. Remove the glove compartment.

13. Release the passenger side air duct flap and antenna wire from the clamp near the heater housing and evaporator.

14. Release the antenna cable from the clamps on the wall of the heater housing and evaporator.

15. Remove the passenger air bag module. Refer to Section 501-20A / 501-20B for additional information.
16. Release the antenna cable from the clip below the passenger airbag module.

17. Carefully cut away the NVH material to expose the antenna cable and clamps.

18. Release the antenna cable from the clips behind the NVH material

19. Connect the appropriate cord to the antenna cable.
20. Pull the antenna cable through the opening of the passenger airbag module until the cord appears.

21. Disconnect the cord and remove the antenna cable.
Installation
1. Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
