Models 1988
In April 1984, the GT version went on sale, featuring improved equipment: an opening sunroof, tinted glass, bumpers and lower body in grey, and in cars with a five-door body and a station wagon (with a luggage rack on the roof) additionally dividing rear seats.
Models 1989
All body versions are equipped with additional side direction indicator lamps.
Models 1990
In October 1989, the 2.3 dm³ diesel engine with 49 kW (67 hp) was replaced by a 1.8 dm³ turbodiesel engine with 55 kW (75 hp). All body versions were equipped with a grille on the air path to the radiator and white caps for the direction indicators, and at the rear of the Berlin and saloon - a black strip connecting the darkened taillights.
Models 1992
In all versions the shape of the front panel has been slightly modernized.
Models 1993
Improved serial equipment of individual versions:
- CLX – Dark tinted glass, heated rear window, power front side windows, dual headlights, power steering and tachometer;
- GL – CLX version equipment plus electric rear-view mirror control, opening sunroof, central door locking (central locking), rear seat headrests and rear seat centre armrest.
At the end of January 1993, production of Ford Sierra vehicles ended.
