Gasoline engine
Warm up the engine during the trip, the oil temperature should be at least +80°C. Under normal circumstances, this engine oil temperature is reached after about 10 km of travel.

Disconnect the electrical wire from the hydraulic switch "arrow" and unscrew the hydraulic switch. The figure shows a V6 engine.
Screw an oil pressure gauge with a suitable flange into the hole for the hydraulic switch.
Start the engine, let it run at the reference crankshaft speed and read the oil pressure reading.
Remove the oil pressure gauge.
Apply sealant, such as Loctite 242, to 2-3 threads of the hydraulic switch, screw in the hydraulic switch and tighten to a torque of 15 Nm (for a DOHC engine, 20 Nm).
Oil pressure chart
If the oil pressure does not correspond to the specified value, proceed in accordance with the instructions in the chapter "Diagnosing oil circulation problems".
