Removal
Remove the rear brake pads.
Remove the protective cap "5" from the guide pin.
Disconnect the brake hose from the bracket. Close the holes with plugs to prevent excessive loss of brake fluid and the ingress of contaminants, see paragraph 15.3.
Unscrew and remove the guide pin. The car shown is a Turnier. On the Limousine, the guide pin is on top of the brake caliper.
Remove the brake caliper from the brake caliper.
Disconnect cable "3" from parking brake lever "4".
Remove the two mounting bolts and remove the brake caliper.
Installation
Secure the caliper with a torque of 60 Nm.
Install the brake caliper, tighten the guide pin to 40 Nm. Put on the protective cap.
Connect the parking brake cable, see item 15.16.
Secure the brake hose to the bracket.
Install the brake pads.
Remove air from the brake system, see item 15.12.
Attention, please perform a safety check:
- Is the brake hose connection tight?
- Is the brake hose secured in the holder?
- Are the bleed valves tightened?
- Is the brake fluid level in the expansion tank sufficient?
Conduct a leak test with the engine running. To do this, press the brake pedal with a force of 200-300 N (20-30 kg) and hold it for about 10 seconds. The pedal should not fall through. Check the tightness of all connections.
Finally, make a few braking attempts on a street with light traffic.
