Removal
Remove the brake drum.
Compress the brake hose with a suitable hose clamp. Make sure that the sharp edges of the clamp do not damage the brake hose. Turnier: Disconnect the brake hose from the line in the area of the lower spring seat.
Spread the upper ends of the pads until the cylinder is completely free and lock the pads in this position using the automatic brake adjustment.
Unscrew the two bolts "1" securing the wheel brake cylinder from the back of the brake caliper.
Loosen the union nut "2" of the brake pipe on the rear side of the wheel brake cylinder, after cleaning the connection area.
Installation
Remove the wheel brake cylinder and completely unscrew the brake hose mount.
Immediately screw a new brake cylinder with a new seal onto the brake hose, but do not tighten the nut completely. This will ensure minimal leakage of brake fluid.
Install and secure the brake cylinder to the brake caliper.
Lightly tighten the brake hose union nut, making sure that the hose does not twist or stretch.
Remove the hose clamp.
Turnier: Connect the brake hose to the brake pipe.
Press the locking lever with a screwdriver to reinstall the pads onto the brake cylinder pistons.
Install the brake drum.
Remove air from the brake system. Usually, it is enough to bleed the wheel cylinder from which the brake hose was disconnected. If the brake pedal is "soft" after bleeding, bleed the entire brake system.
Press the brake pedal firmly several times to set the rear brakes.
