Removal and installation of a back cover of a luggage carrier

Withdrawal

Attention! To facilitate the subsequent installation of electrical wires and water hoses, tie their ends with twine. The cord subsequently remains on the removed cover. When installed with a cord, you can easily pull back the electrical wires and water hoses.

Disconnect the ground wire (-) from the battery.

Attention! As a result, data in electronic storage devices, such as an engine fault memory or a radio code, are erased. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.

Remove a covering of a roof of salon.

Remove the trunk cover.

Tilt the rear seat forward.

Remove the left luggage rack.

Pull off part of the left trunk trim.

Turnier:

Remove the reverse light cover from the rear left.

Remove the left trunk trim.

Disconnect the multi-pin plug on the reversing light housing.

Remove the trunk lid trim.

Disconnect the multi-pin connector of the trunk lid on the left wall and disconnect the bundle of wires from the clamps.

Remove the rubber boot from the C-pillar to access the underside of the wire harness rubber.



Pull off the rubber grommet on the left side of the cargo compartment lid. To do this, remove the four clamps on the underside and pull off the rubber nozzle holder.

Attention! Handle the rubber grommet with care, as if it is damaged, the wiring harness must be replaced.

Pull the hose off the washer nozzle.

Pull off the rubber grommet on the right side of the cover. To do this, remove both holders on the underside. Pull out the washer hose.

Support the cargo compartment lid.



Pull the gas shock absorber -1- off the ball head on the cargo compartment cover. To do this, slightly pull off the spring stopper -2- of the gas shock absorber with a screwdriver -3-.

Mark the position of the hinges of the trunk lid by outlining the fastening of the hinges with a felt-tip pen.

Turn out four nuts of fastening and remove with the assistant a cover of a cargo compartment.

Installation

Adjust the position of the hinges on the cargo compartment lid and secure them with a torque of 25 Nm.

Slide the gas shock absorber stop onto the ball head.

Retract the water hose and electrical wire with the help of a stretched cord.

Connect the water hose to the washer nozzle.

Connect the multi-pin plug.

Install the cover and hose nozzle on the trunk lid.

Close the cargo compartment lid without lock and check its position. If necessary, loosen the fastening nuts and adjust the position of the cover so that the air gaps between the cargo compartment cover and the body are parallel and have the same size. Tighten the fastening nuts.


Install the cargo compartment lid trim.

Install the left trunk trim.

Establish the left emphasis of a luggage rack.

Install the trunk cover.

Turnier:

Connect the multi-pin plug on the reversing light housing.

Install the reversing light cover.

Install the left trunk trim.

Connect the ground wire to the battery terminal (-). Set the time on the clock. Set the radio's anti-theft code.
