Removal
Attention! To facilitate subsequent installation of the electrical wires, tie their ends with twine. The cord will then remain on the removed trunk lid. When installing, the cord can be used to easily pull the electrical wires back.
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Disconnect the license plate light wire connector in the middle of the trunk lid.
Disconnect the rubber guide cap with three clamps from the holders above the left hinge.
Disconnect the hinge housing from the clamps.
Mark the position of the hinge by drawing an outline of the hinge on the trunk lid with a felt-tip pen.
With the help of an assistant, remove the trunk lid, having first unscrewed two mounting bolts on each side.
Installation
With the help of an assistant, install the trunk lid on the hinges and tighten the bolts without tightening them.
Adjust the position of the cover in accordance with the marks applied and tighten with a torque of 10 Nm. Connect the plug of the license plate light wire.
Attach the wire to the hinge housing and secure the housing with the holders.
Secure the rubber cable guide bushing to the holders above the left hinge.
Connect the ground (-) wire to the battery terminal.
Set the time on the clock.
Set the radio anti-theft code.
