Removal
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Remove the roof trim from the passenger compartment.

Tighten the four drain tubes at the corners of the hatch.

Remove 12 mounting screws.
Caution! When unscrewing, an assistant must hold the hatch firmly.
If equipped, disconnect the sunroof motor multi-plug.
Remove the roof hatch.
Installation

Before installation, check the condition of the self-adhesive rubber seal along the front edge and on the sides of the hatch. If damaged, replace the seal.
Install the hatch and adjust its position.

Secure the hatch with bolts, tighten the bolts in order from 1 to 12 with a torque of 25 Nm, see the figure. During installation, the assistant must hold the hatch firmly.
Attach four drain tubes to the corners of the hatch.
Open and close the hatch several times and check for ease of operation.
Install the roof lining.
Connect the ground (-) wire to the battery terminal.
Set the time on the clock.
Set the radio anti-theft code.
