To remove the tweeters installed on the front doors, follow these steps.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Using a screwdriver, pry up the trim of the outside rearview mirror support…
3….and having overcome the resistance of the clamps, move the trim away from the door.
4. After pressing the lock…
5….disconnect the wiring harness connector from the speaker of the acoustic system and remove the trim together with the speaker.
6. Press the speaker mounting clips and remove it from the opening in the trim.
7. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
To remove the speakers installed in the front and rear doors, follow these steps.
NOTE: The speakers in the front and rear doors are removed using the same techniques. The work is shown using the front door speaker as an example.
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the front door trim (see Removing and installing front door trim).
3. By pressing the lock…
4….disconnect the wiring harness connector from the speaker of the acoustic system.
5. Remove the three bolts securing the speaker to the door panel…
6….and take it off.
7. Install the speaker and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
