Replacing the Parking Brake Indicator Light Switch (Mondeo 4)

You will need: an 8 mm spanner and a flat-blade screwdriver.

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the rear part of the floor tunnel trim (see Removing and installing floor tunnel lining).

3. Remove the parking brake actuator lever (see Removing and installing the parking brake lever).

3. Remove the parking brake actuator lever (see Removing and installing the parking brake lever).


4. Remove the screw securing the parking brake indicator light switch…

4. Remove the screw securing the parking brake indicator light switch…


5….and remove the parking brake indicator light switch.

6. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
