Checking the brake light switch (Mondeo 3)

If all three brake lights do not work, this means that there is no trust in the brake light switch. It is located in the passenger compartment directly on the brake pedal bearing bracket. When the brake pedal is pressed, the push pin "moves" from the switch housing outward. The contacts in the switch close, and the current then flows to the brake light lights. The switch is checked quite simply: disconnect the cable plug and connect the "bare" ends. If the lights are on, replace the switch.
