Replacing fuses (Mondeo 3)

            0

Most fuses are located in the passenger compartment on the left under the steering wheel. Some relays are also located there. Additional fuse and relay boxes can be found in the engine compartment on the left relative to the direction of travel behind the shock absorber strut protrusion. Before replacing an individual fuse or relay, it is advisable to turn off the ignition and all current consumers (e.g., the radio).

ORDER OF EXECUTION
  1. Carefully pull the blown fuse out of the socket using a special clamp (located on the cover of the fuse box in the engine compartment) or small pliers.
  2. Make sure the new fuse has the same ampere rating as its predecessor. Press both flat connectors into the plug tabs at the same time.
  3. If you don"t want to immediately "melt" the new fuse, then check whether the electrical circuit has a connection to ground (the consumer is defective, the wire insulation has worn through from the ground).
