Replacing fuses

Most of the fuses are located in the cabin on the left under the steering wheel. Some relays are also located there. Additional fuse and relay boxes can be found in the engine compartment on the left side of the direction of travel behind the bumper strut lug. Before replacing a separate fuse or relay, it is advisable to turn off the ignition and all current consumers (e.g. radio).

PROCEDURE

Carefully remove the blown fuse from its socket using a special clip (located on the top of the fuse box in the engine compartment) or small pliers. Make sure the new fuse has the same amp rating as the original fuse. Press both flat connectors simultaneously into the plug tabs. If you don't want a new fuse right there «melt», then check if the circuit has a ground connection (the consumer is defective, the wire insulation is rubbed through from the ground).
