Dismantling and installation of the combined instrument (Mondeo 3)

ORDER OF EXECUTION

Disconnect the battery and remove the upper and lower steering column trim. Unscrew the instrument panel mounting screws and... ...take it off. Now unscrew both fastening screws (at the back) in the passenger compartment and pull it "vertically" to the steering wheel. Thanks to this vertical movement, the silicone fluid will not be able to leak out of the indicator devices. Before dismantling, press the protective tabs 1 and remove the combined connector 2 from the back of the device. Hold upright - otherwise silicone fluid may leak out: combination appliance. 1 - protective projection, 2 - combined connector. Complete the installation in reverse order and do not forget to perform a final functional check.
