Replacing the Belt Pinch Roller

PROCEDURE

Remove the drive belt as described above and... ...then unscrew the fixing nuts (indicated by arrows) on the pressure roller. Loosen the fixing nuts (indicated by arrows) on the pressure roller. Remove the pinch roller and... ...place the new roller on the flange and lightly tighten the screws. Using a torque wrench, then tighten the screws crosswise to a tightening torque of 25 Nm. Complete installation in reverse order.

Diesel engines

DuraTorg-DI engines have a two-section belt drive: one belt drives, starting from the crankshaft, a generator and an AC compressor through two rotary rollers. Another, shorter belt drives the camshaft through the pinch roller and power steering pump pulley.
