The anti-theft system provides protection against unauthorized entry into the car, the system is controlled by the central security module (CSM).

Turning on the system

The system includes a remote transmitter "keyless" login if the following sequence of actions is performed:

• 1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and remove the ignition key.
• 2. Close all doors (unlocked).
• 3. Press the LOCK button on the remote transmitter "keyless" entrance to lock the doors. The turn signal lamps will flash once.
• 4. If the direction indicator lamps do not flash, the system has not turned on.

The system will also turn on if the following sequence of actions is performed:

• 5. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and remove the ignition key.
• 6. Close all doors (unlocked).
• 7. Lock the doors with the normal key.

Disabling a running system

The system can be disabled by performing one of the following procedures.

• Unlock the front door with the key.
• Unlock the front door by pressing the UNLOCK button on the remote transmitter "keyless" entrance.

System actuation

If the system has been activated, the direction indicator lamps will flash and the anti-theft alarm will sound.

If the system is enabled, unauthorized entry into the vehicle without the use of a key or remote transmitter "keyless" input is detected by a switch activated by the passenger compartment door latch, tailgate latch, trunk lid latch, or hood latch. The system also works when the ignition switch is turned to the ON position and when the audio unit is disconnected.

The anti-theft system does not work when the tailgate or tailgate is opened with the key or remote transmitter "keyless" input due to the operation of the lock switch.

Disabling a running system

Performing any of the following actions disables the deployed anti-theft system.

• Unlocking the driver's door or the front passenger door with the key.
• Pressing the UNLOCK button on the remote transmitter "keyless" entrance.

When the system is triggered, the anti-theft alarm will turn off automatically after 30 seconds, and the turn signal lamps will turn off automatically after 5 minutes. The system is then reset to the enabled state and the system is triggered again if there is another intrusion attempt.
