Generator (1.8 l diesel) — removal and installation

Withdrawal

All cars

1. Disconnect the wire "masses" battery.

2. Remove the accessory drive belt. See Section 303-05 for more information.

3. Remove the motor bottom shield.



4. Remove a cover of electric sockets of the generator.

5. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.



Vehicles equipped with an air conditioning system

6. Disconnect the compressor of system of air conditioning and fix it sideways.



All cars

7. Turn out bolts of an arm of a pulley.



8. Remove the alternator clutch. Release three bolts.



9. Remove the generator.

Installation

All cars

1. To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
