Vehicle identification

Identification plate

The identification plate is located on the right side of the front panel of the body and contains the following information:

• 1 - body type;
• 2 - vehicle identification number;
• 1-3 characters: international identification code of the manufacturer;
• 4th character: body type;
• 5th–6th characters: permanent characters;
• 7th character: country of manufacture;
• 8 sign: manufacturer;
• 9–10 characters: model;
• 11–12 characters: year and month of manufacture;
• 13–17 characters: serial number;
• 3 - the mass of the equipped car;
• 4 - total weight of the car;
• 5 - maximum load on the front axle;
• 6 - maximum load on the rear axle;
• 7 - steering;
• 8 - engine;
• 9 - transmission;
• 10 - gear ratio of the main gear;
• 11 - equipment;
• 12 - body type;
• 13 - version;
• 14 - body color;
• 15 is a special code.

The body number of the car is stamped between the threshold and the right front seat.

The engine number is stamped on the right side of the engine block near the alternator mounting bracket.
