Bleeding air from the fuel system

            0

If you ended up with a completely empty tank or you changed parts of the fuel system, then air must be bled from the fuel system.

Make sure that diesel fuel does not get on the coolant hoses. If it does get on the hoses, they should be cleaned immediately. When working on the fuel system, special cleanliness must be observed, see point 5.1.

Operate the hand pump -1- on the filter housing until you feel a lot of resistance.

Start the engine and let it run until all air is removed from the fuel system. In case of problems with starting the engine, check whether fuel is supplied to the jets; on the two jets, unscrew the cap nuts and start the engine without preheating until the fuel comes out on the cap nuts. Tighten the union nuts with a torque of 20 Nm, start the engine in accordance with the instructions.

If the measures taken to remove air are not enough, then:

Loosen all union nuts on the jets. Crank the engine until fuel comes out. Finally, tighten the union nuts with a torque of 20 Nm. If there are leaks, tighten them to 25 Nm. As a result, rapid air removal is guaranteed.
