Air should always be removed from the fuel system after operations related to its opening (disconnecting fuel lines, unscrewing the fuel filter, etc.), as well as in the event of complete depletion of fuel from the tank. Air is removed from the fuel system automatically. The fuel system does not have a deaerator.
Using the hand fuel pump (2. Fig. 2E.51), pump until noticeable resistance occurs.
Turn on the starter and wait until the engine starts, then warm up the engine.
Turn the engine off and then restart it to check that the fuel system is effectively purged of air.
