Fuel filter

Withdrawal

Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Place a container under the filter to collect the escaping fuel.

Hold the fuel filter and unscrew the bolt (5. fig. 2E.51) attaching the filter to the bracket.



Remove the fuel filter element and gaskets.

Installation

Install new gaskets on both sides of the fuel filter element being replaced and under the head of the center bolt.

Install the fuel filter, paying attention to the correct location of all gaskets, and tighten the central mounting bolt.

Remove the container with collected fuel.

Connect the ground wire to the battery.

Remove air from the fuel system.

Start the engine and check the fuel line connections of the fuel filter for leaks.
