Checking the generator charging voltage (Mondeo 1)

Connect a voltmeter between the positive and negative terminals of the battery.

Start the engine. During the starting process, the voltage should drop to 9.5 V.

At an engine speed of 3000/min, the voltage should be 13.0-14.5 V. This is a sign that the generator and regulator are working.
