Rear Suspension Reaction Arm (Station wagon)

1. Support the front wheels, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.

2. Use a mobile jack to support the rear lower arm (under the spring).

3. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the back shock-absorber to an axis support.

4. Disconnect the ABS sensor (in the presence of) from the reactive arm.

5. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the reaction arm bracket.

6. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the rear brake shoes or brake caliper (see chapter 9). Pull the cable through the hole in the reaction arm.

7. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the jet lever to an axis support (see fig. 25.7).



8. Remove the reaction arm bracket bolts from the bottom and pull the assembly out from under the vehicle (see fig. 25.8, a, b).



9. Install the vise bracket. Remove the bolt and separate the reaction arm from the bracket.

10. If the rubber bushing is worn out, you will have to replace the entire reaction arm.

Installation


11. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Tighten bolts of fastening of the lever to an arm the demanded moment only after loading of a suspension bracket by weight of the car. Finally, check the operation of the hand brake.
