Upper control arm rear suspension (station wagon) (Mondeo 1 and 2)

Removal

1. Support the front wheels, lift the rear of the car and place it on supports. Remove the corresponding rear wheel.

2. Using a jack stand, support the rear lower arm (under the spring).

3. Unscrew the bolt securing the upper arm to the rear axle support (see Fig. 24.3).



4. Unscrew the bolt securing the upper arm to the beam and pull the arm out from under the car.

Installation

5. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the mounting bolts fully only after the vehicle is positioned on the ground and the suspension is loaded.
