Removal and installation of the instrument panel

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Take off your watch (in the presence of) (see paragraph 13).

3. Remove the rear window defroster switch and the windshield defroster switch (in the presence of) (paragraph 4).

4. On models of release before 1996, remove the fog lamp indicator, which is included in the display assembly of the vehicle parameters control system (see fig. 10.4).



5. On models of release before 1996, remove all plugs from those places where switches are not installed (see fig. 10.5).



6. Remove the plugs, and then unscrew the fixing screws and remove the instrument panel bezel (see fig. 10.6, a-c).





7. On release models since 1997 with an air conditioning system, after removing the edging, remove the O-ring from the interior temperature sensor and disconnect the sensor from the edging.


8. Remove the mounting screws and separate the dashboard from the front panel (see fig. 10.8).



9. Disconnect the two electrical connectors on the back of the dashboard (see fig. 10.9).



10. Take out the dashboard. On models of release before 1996 disconnect an intermediate cable of a speedometer.

Installation

11. Installation - in the reverse order of removal.
