Jack installation locations
WARNING: Always place the vehicle on a firm, level surface. If the jack is to be used on a loose, soft surface, special jack blocks should be placed under its supports. Always place a wedge under the wheel diagonally opposite the jack location. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
CAUTION: It is not recommended to jack up or lift the vehicle under the rear suspension crossmember. If the vehicle is lifted by the crossmember, make sure the jack or lift is centered. Failure to do so will result in deformation of the crossmember cover, weakening the crossmember.
Before beginning any repair that involves the use of a jack, it is important to fully understand the following instructions. It is important to always use only the correct jacking and support points for your vehicle.
The vehicle can be raised by placing a floor jack under the outer lower trim panel and supporting it with axle stands. To avoid damage to the body paint, use a suitable shim if possible.
