Lubrication under pressure is provided by a gear oil pump, in the body of which there is a bypass valve.
| Minimum oil pressure (at 80°C): | |
| – at 750 rpm: | 0.1 MPa |
| – at 2000 rpm: | 0.25 MPa |
| Bypass valve opening pressure (at 1000 rpm): | 0.40 – 0.47 MPa |
| Oil pressure warning light illumination pressure: | 0.03 MPa – 0.06 MPa |
Oil pump
The Hobourn-Eaton type internal gear oil pump is driven from the intermediate shaft.
| Clearance of gear with internal teeth relative to housing | 0.150 – 0.301 mm. |
| Gap between gear teeth | 0.05 – 0.20 mm. |
| Axial clearance of gears | 0.028 – 0.104 mm. |
Oil filter
The full-flow oil filter is located on the left side of the cylinder block.
Make and type: Motorcraft EFL 90.
