- Check if there is fuel in the tank.
- Disconnect the fuel hose between the fuel pump and the carburetor on the carburetor side and direct it into a suitable container. Turn on the starter briefly, and fuel should flow out of the hose in a pulsating stream.
Warning: Fire hazard!
If fuel is supplied:
- Check if there is fuel in the carburetor float chamber. If the float chamber is empty, check the float chamber needle valve for patency and also check the fuel pump.
If fuel does not come out, the accelerator pump/injection tube is defective or clogged.
If fuel is not supplied:
- Disconnect the fuel line supplying fuel to the pump.
- If fuel is leaking from the fuel line, check the pump for leaks. If possible, remove and examine.
If fuel does not leak, blow out the fuel line, remove the fuel tank and clean it.
