Removal
Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
Warning! This will erase data in electronic memory devices, such as the engine fault memory device or the radio code. Please read the section carefully "Removing and installing the battery", before disconnecting it.
Detach the left lower side trim in the passenger compartment and turn it aside. To do this, remove the Phillips-head screw and two clamps.

Pull up the cable protection clamp on the hood lock, having first unscrewed the nut.
Disconnect the cable from the hood latch.
Unscrew the three nuts securing the hood lock and remove the lock.
Installation
Install the lock and secure it with nuts, 10 Nm.
Attach the cable to the hood latch.
Install the cable protection clamp and secure it with the nut.
Secure the side trim.
Connect the ground (-) wire to the battery terminal.
Set the time on the clock.
Set the radio anti-theft code.
Adjusting the hood lock
Set the lock to the highest position and secure it with the bottom nut only. To do this, move the lock up until it stops with the nut loosened.
Close the hood.
Loosen the nut through the gap between the hood and the grille. Press the hood down until the hood surface matches the fender surfaces. In this position, tighten the lower nut.
Open the hood and tighten the remaining nuts.
Check the lock adjustment again.
