Replacing moldings

Stick the self-adhesive tape close to the molding to be replaced at the top and bottom. Thus, when removing the molding, the paintwork will be protected from damage. In addition, the installation of a new molding is facilitated.



Separate the adhesive connection of the molding to the body with a thin nylon cord and remove the molding. To facilitate the process, attach wooden handles to the ends of the cord and heat the molding a little with a hairdryer.

Attention! Emblem adhesive bonding "FORD" on the grille is disconnected in the same way.

Rinse off the remaining glue with alcohol and dry the bonding area.

Heat up the new molding with a hair dryer.

Tear off the protective paper from the new molding, attach the molding to the installation site and press firmly.

To improve the effect of the adhesive, press the molding along its entire length with a suitable wooden or plastic roller.

Remove self-adhesive tape.
