ORDER OF EXECUTION
First, securely jack up the car (jack stands). Disconnect the battery ground cable (terminal 31), drain the coolant into a receiving container.
Remove the electric fan as described above.
Remove the radiator hoses.
Mondeo 2.5-litre and diesel
Lower the front of the vehicle and remove the upper radiator hose.
Remove the hose on the coolant expansion tank and...
...raise the front of the car.
Mondeo with 1.8-liter and 2.0-liter engines
Remove the hose from the coolant expansion tank.
Mondeo with 2.0-litre diesel engine
Remove the coolant hose from the oil cooler...
Removing the coolant hose (indicated by arrow) on the oil radiator.
...unclamp and remove the spring clamp from the subframe.
All models
Now support the AC capacitor, unscrew the mounting screws, remove the electric fan together with the trim and pull the radiator out of the holders.
Remove the radiator rubber support.
Removing the rubber radiator support.
Perform the installation in reverse order, fill the fluid and warm up the engine. Adjust the coolant level in the expansion tank to the upper mark.
Carry out a test drive and after it check all connections for leaks, add the missing coolant to the upper mark.
