Removing the cooling system fan (Mondeo 3)

ORDER OF EXECUTION

Raise the Mondeo and secure it against vibration. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Models with DI motors
Remove the lower engine trim.

Removing the engine lining.

All models
Remove the front guard (screws are indicated by arrows) and secure the radiator with suitable wire.
Now disconnect the plug from the fan motor and disconnect the cable strand from the radiator bracket.
Unscrew the screws of the radiator bracket, fan motor together with the trim 1 and...
...pull fan 2 completely upwards from the holders for dismantling and then move it downwards.

Removing the front protection.

Disconnecting the plug from the fan motor.

Removing the fan motor.
Carry out the installation in reverse order.
