Therefore, transfer the visual inspection of the chassis to a workshop with the appropriate measuring equipment. Adjusted front wheels, like an attentive driver, will naturally follow the track exactly. And, of course, when both front tires come from the same "tire bakery" and also have the same tread and the prescribed air pressure. Check the base and observe for the presence of the following symptoms
- A crooked steering wheel is the first sign of "skewed" front wheels. Therefore, always pay attention to the fact that when driving straight, the steering wheel should also "stand" straight.
- Are the front wheels aligned with the steering wheel position when driving straight ahead?
- Does your Mondeo move straight on a level surface "without using your hands"? Or does it constantly change direction, first to the right, then to the left?
- Does the steering wheel "voluntarily" return to the straight-ahead position after exiting a turn?
- Are the front tires equally worn? Look at the edges of the tires, do they have the same wear patterns?
