Oil pressure indicator sensor (Mondeo 1 and 2)

Removal

1. This sensor is installed in the cylinder block on the thread (at the rear above the right support bearing of the drive shaft) (see Fig. 20.1).



2. Place the vehicle on a firm, level surface, open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable (Chapter 5, paragraph 1).

3. Raise the front end and place it on supports.

4. Disconnect the wiring from the sensor and unscrew it. Prepare to eliminate oil leaks.

Installation

5. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Lubricate the sensor thread with a thin layer of sealant and tighten it to the required torque. Check the engine oil level and top up if necessary (Chapter 1). Check for oil leaks immediately after starting and warming up the engine to normal operating temperature.
