Inspection and verification
1. Check the customer complaint.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

Electrical factors:
- Fuse Box(s)
- Relay
- Wiring harness
- Electrical connector(s)
- Glow plug(s)
- Glow plug wire
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
3. If an obvious cause for a reported or received complaint is identified, resolve it (if possible) before proceeding with further action.
4. If the cause is not visually obvious, check the symptom and contact WDS to diagnose the system.
