Checking the oil level in the power steering

            0

Need to have in stock: ATF oil specification FORD ESP-M2C166-H.

Examination

Drive for about 15 km until the engine and steering reach normal operating temperature.

Immediately after stopping the engine, check the oil level in the power steering.

The oil level in the reservoir must be between the MIN and MAX marks and must never fall below the MIN·mark.

Otherwise, add hydraulic oil. When doing this, use an ATF oil of the specified FORD specification.

Make sure that the hydraulic oil is not shaken before filling, otherwise air bubbles will form. Fill oil slowly to avoid air bubbles.

Be sure to add new oil, because. even slight contamination can cause a malfunction of the hydraulic device.

After refueling with the engine running, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times to purge air from the unit.

If you have to add oil, check the tightness of the steering system.
