Checking the tie rod bellows (Mondeo 1)

Look out for visible traces of grease (oily dirt) on and around the bellows.

Check the tightness of the screw or clamp clamps.

Examine the rubber of the bellows with a flashlight for porosity and cracks by hitting the wheels from both sides.

Replace a faulty bellows immediately.
