Protective coating of the base of the car and preservation of cavities: check.
Seat belts: check for damage.
Intake air filter: Replace the filter insert. This operation is described in chapter "Heating", see point 19.2.
Visual check of the bottom / body of the car
Regularly check the condition of the paintwork and clean the underbody of the car more often, see point 18.1.
Visual inspection of seat belts
Attention! Noise during the automatic folding of the seat belts is due to their operation. If the noise is the result of a malfunction, only the seat belt can be replaced. Never attempt to eliminate noise by applying oil or protective grease. The seat belt retractor cannot be dismantled, as the compressed spring may spring out and cause injury.
Pull the seat belt fully out and check the webbing for frayed fabric fibers. Damaged belt fabrics can result from a jammed belt or from a hot cigarette. In this case, replace the belt.
If there are worn places without separation of the fabric fiber, the belt does not need to be changed.
Check the stiff belt for twisting, if necessary, remove the facing of the middle column.
If the automatic winding of the belt does not work, replace the belt.
Clean the seat belt webbing with soap and water only, never use solvents or chemical cleaners.
Lubrication of locks
Lubricate the locks of the doors, engine hood and trunk lid with oil or grease.
In door locks, lubricate the locking pins, shackles, and pivot latches.
