Interior door trim

1. Refer to the procedures described in Section 9.

Finishing the footwell

2. Open the front door and remove the four footwell trim panel retaining screws.

3. Disconnect the speaker wires (if it is installed) and remove the trim.

4. Install in reverse order.

Rear side interior trim

5. The rear quarter panel interior trim panels are secured with a combination of screws and plastic clips, the removal of which requires the use of a suitable fork-tipped tool (see Figure 9.11). These clips break easily, so be especially careful when removing them.

6. Remove the rear seats, if equipped, for easier access.

7. Release the fasteners and screws and remove the trim.

8. On some models, remove the plastic trim at the base of the intermediate body pillar on the sliding door side and the rear window washer reservoir.

9. Install in reverse order.

Interior trim of pillar panels

10. The body pillar trim panels are secured with either screws, rivets, or a combination of both. In some places, the screws may be covered with plastic caps that can be easily removed by prying them off with a small screwdriver. The rivets must be drilled out and new rivets used to secure the panels during installation.
