Raise the car from the front.
Position a suitable lever so that it rests on the inside edge of the rim and on the lower wishbone.
Gently push the control arm upward and check the clearance. The clearance is the distance the control arm travels before the pivot bearing is moved.
This gap should be no more than 0.5 mm. If it is larger, replace the worn joint.
Lower the car to the ground.
