Checking the clearance of the axle joint

Raise the car in front.

Install a suitable arm so that it rests on the inner edge of the rim and on the lower wishbone.

Gently press the lever upwards and check the clearance. The clearance is the distance the control arm travels before the swing arm is driven.

This gap should be no more than 0.5 mm. If it is larger, replace the worn joint.

Lower the car to the ground.
