Removal, installation and adjustment of the hood lock and its drive

You will need: a key "for 10", a socket "for 13".

To remove the hood latch, do the following.

1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.



2. Remove the two pistons and remove the air deflector.



3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of the lock of a cowl to a frame of a radiator (bolts are not visible in the photo, as they are covered with a frame) …



4….and detach the lock from the frame.




5. Pry off the tip of the cable sheath with a screwdriver..



6.... take it out of the lock holder and disconnect the tip of the cable from the lock lever.



7. Squeezing the clamp of the wiring harness block..



8.... disconnect the block from the lock and remove the lock.


9. Establish the lock of a cowl in an order, the return to removal. Before installing the lock, lubricate its locking mechanism with grease (e.g. Lithol).

10. If, after installation, the lock does not lock clearly or is difficult to unlock, adjust its position. Loosen the bolts of the lock and moving it vertically within the oval holes of the body achieve a clear operation.

To remove the hood lock latch, do the following.

1. Open the hood and place it on the stop.

2. Remove additional noise insulation (see Removing and installing the hood).



3. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a latch and take out a latch through a technological opening in the amplifier of a cowl.

4. Establish a latch of the lock of a cowl in an order, the return to removal.



5. If, after installing the latch, the lock locks with a blow, loosen the latch fastening bolts and, moving it in a horizontal direction in the desired direction within the holes in the hood amplifier, achieve a shock-free locking of the lock.
