Replacing the fuel filter (petrol engine) (Mondeo 3)

ORDER OF EXECUTION

Start the engine and let it run until the gasoline in the unit is completely used up. To be absolutely sure that there is actually no pressure, you can turn the engine with the starter for about five more seconds. Disconnect the wires from the battery. Place the rear of the Mondeo securely on jack stands. Place a collecting container under the fuel filter (near the right rear wheel, on the right next to the tank) and... ...dismantle the hose connections (indicated by the arrow) of the combustible mixture preparation system. Dismantling: hose connections of the fuel mixture preparation system. Remove the drain pipe and... ... carefully disconnect the feed line from the fuel filter. Then remove the old filter from the holder. Empty the housing into a receiving container and dispose of the "dry" filter as special waste. 1 - Unscrew the screw, 2 - Remove the fuel filter. When installing a new filter, take into account the direction of fuel flow (arrow on the housing). Complete the work in reverse order, connect the wires to the battery and turn on the ignition to create pressure in the system for about 30 seconds. Then check all hose connections again for leaks.
