Care of varnish (Mondeo 3)

ORDER OF EXECUTION

First, you should thoroughly wash and dry your car.
In relatively inconspicuous places, first check whether the paint will "tolerate" the polish. Be careful with the lacquer cleaner: apply it in thin layers using circular motions only. A thick layer of cleaner "rips off" more surface lacquer than necessary. It is better to clean your Mondeo in several passes.
Apply polish or cleaner with a buffing pad (sized to hold your fingers together) or a soft cloth (not made of synthetic fibre) using gentle pressure and circular motions. Treat visible surfaces only.

Divide the body into sections of approximately half a square meter. If the size is larger, polishing is more difficult. Polish that has had time to dry is much more difficult to process.
After a short time of action, a dry white residue will form, which should be polished with a cotton swab in circular motions. If the varnish coating is very worn, be careful on the edges: do not treat the same place for too long, you can even tear off the paint down to the primer layer.
Turn over or replace the cotton pad regularly – after a while its surface becomes covered with particles of wax and care products.

To remove all polish residue and cotton wool threads, wipe the polished varnish surface with a clean cotton cloth.

To make the polish appear transparent and non-slip, rub the white coating with a large cotton pad in a circular motion with a little pressure until it shines. If the movements become difficult, turn over or replace the pad.

Apply car wax with a cotton swab. The size of the surface preserved in one working step depends on the product used. Note: the composition of preservatives contains a high proportion of solvents. Therefore, in closed rooms, ensure the presence of a ventilation system.
Apply the preservative in circular motions with gentle pressure using a piece of cotton wool: even application increases the depth of shine.
The cotton wool should slide easily over the varnish with little resistance. Therefore, turn the cotton wool over more often and at the same time grab a new piece of cotton wool for reserve.
If after this stripes or spots are still visible on the surface, then most often they are located on the smeared colored particles - the "legacy" of the previous polish. Repeat the process in slippery places.

Finally, rub the polished surface with a cotton cloth. This will remove any remaining plaque and, of course, any cotton wool threads.

If the preservative almost flows down the varnish when applied, the surface tension of the varnish is still high. Therefore, in this case, try to apply a soft polish before preserving.
