Lacquer care

PROCEDURE
  1. First, thoroughly rinse and dry your car.
  2. In relatively inconspicuous places, first check «endure» whether the coloring action of the polish. Be careful with the lacquer cleaner: apply it in a circular motion only in thin layers. Thick cleaner «rips off» more surface varnish than necessary. Clean your Mondeo better in just a few passes.
  3. Apply polish or cleaner with polishing cotton (according to the size of the fingers gathered in a bundle) or soft cloth (but not artificial fiber) gentle force in a circular motion. Treat only visible surfaces.

Divide the body into sections about half a square meter in size. If the size is larger, then polishing is more difficult to perform on it. Polish that has had time to dry is much more difficult to process.
  4. After some time of action, a dry white precipitate is formed, which should be polished with a cotton swab in a circular motion. With heavily worn varnish, be careful on the edges: do not work too long on the same place, you can even peel off the paint to a primer layer.
  5. Turn or replace the cotton swab regularly - its surface becomes covered with particles of wax and care products after a while.
  6. To do away with all polish residue and cotton threads, wipe the polished lacquer surface with a clean cotton rag.

To make the varnish appear transparent and non-slip, wipe the white coating to a shine with a large cotton swab in a circular motion with little effort. If movement becomes difficult, flip or change the tampon.
  7. Apply car wax with a cotton swab. The size of the surface to be preserved in one working stroke depends on the product used. Attention: the composition of preservatives contains a high proportion of solvents. Therefore, in enclosed spaces, take care of the presence of a ventilation system.
  8. Apply the preservative in a circular motion with low pressure using a piece of cotton wool: an even application increases the depth of the shine.
  9. The cotton should glide easily over the varnish with little resistance. Therefore, turn the cotton over often and at the same time grab a new piece of cotton for a reserve.
  10. If after that stripes or spots are still visible on the surface, then most often they are located on smeared colored particles - «heritage» previous polish. Repeat the process in slippery areas.

Finally, rub the polished surface with an additional cotton rag. Thus, possible remnants of plaque and, naturally, threads from cotton wool are removed.

If the preservative almost runs off the varnish during application, the surface tension of the varnish is still high. Therefore, in this case, try to apply a soft polish before conservation.
