- loosen the nut in the middle of the piston rod by five turns (see Fig. 118);

- unscrew the intermediate bearing (Fig. 179) and remove the intermediate shaft.

Installation is carried out in reverse order, taking into account the following:

- Always replace the shaft nuts and retaining rings with new ones;

- when installing the intermediate shaft, do not damage the oil seal ring in the gearbox housing;

- tighten the intermediate bearing nuts to a torque of 27 Nm.
