General information about wheel drives

To install the wheel drive shafts at the service station, a special device is used. Shaft nuts are unscrewed and tightened with a socket wrench with a 32 mm opening. A lever is required to disengage the shafts from the drive.

The shafts are tightly pressed into the hub. To remove the wheel hub flange, you will need a universal two- or three-arm puller.

The main gear is in the same housing with the differential and gearbox. There are also four bevel gears meshed with each other, two of which are connected to the drive shafts.

Sealing cuffs of the hinge are corrugated covers that protect the hinges of equal angular speeds. Grease is applied to the inside of the seals.

The service life of the wheel drive shafts depends on the driving style. Avoid full start «gas» with the front wheels turned out and the start with the drive wheels spinning.
