Removal
1. Apply the parking brake. Loosen the nuts of the corresponding wheel. Raise the front end and place it on supports. Remove the front wheel.
2. Use a wrench to loosen the lock nut of the limit switch by a quarter of a turn. At the same time, hold the limit switch from turning by its flats with another wrench (see Fig. 36.2).

3. Remove the cotter pin. Unscrew the nut of the ball joint of the limit switch.
4. Disconnect the hinge (see Fig. 36.4).

5. Unscrew the end of the tie rod, counting the number of turns required to do this. If necessary, hold the rod with a tool.
Installation
6. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
