Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (chapter 5 paragraph 1).
2. Turn the steering wheel to the straight-ahead position. Remove the ignition key. Then turn the steering wheel slightly to lock the steering wheel.
3. Loosen the bolt of the clamp plate securing the steering shaft to the flexible coupling. Turn the clamp plate, separating the plate and the flexible coupling projection.
4. Carefully pull the rubber cap out of the engine compartment bulkhead and into the passenger compartment. Do not damage the sealing edge of the cap.
5. Using a hex key, unscrew the clamp bolt securing the elastic coupling to the input shaft of the steering gear. Remove the coupling.
Installation
6. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the clamp bolts to the required torque. Install the rubber cap on the partition and the elastic coupling.
