Useful winter tips (Fusion)

If you have installed a radiator insulator, do not forget about it when you get stuck, there is a sudden thaw outside (this happens quite often lately) or spring has come - otherwise you can overheat the engine even with a working electric fan of the cooling system.

Be sure to carry a shovel with you. For dealing with deep snow (if you may encounter it on your way), a special snow-removing or scoop shovel is best suited. For harder packed or melted snow and digging out a car that has skidded in a rut, a regular bayonet shovel with a shortened handle for compactness is suitable. When traveling on forest roads, it is also advisable to have a small hatchet to chop branches and put under the wheels, and sometimes to make a fire.

If you regularly have to overcome slippery slopes, it is useful to carry a bag (small sack) with coarse sand, brick chips or something similar in the trunk. Often it is enough to throw a couple of shovels of this mixture under each wheel to move from the spot and overcome a steep icy slope or not to slide off the road, damaging the body.
